⚠️ Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy on April 23, 2023.
What does this mean for you?
As of June 2023 and going forward while it’s remaining stores are still open, this means the following:
✅ Keep your eyes out for discounted prices – and that’s the ONLY good news!
❌ Everything else is kind of murky! It’s unfortunate Bed Bath & Beyond is going out of business. I get that some of you have sentimental ties into buying items for your home from them. With that said, here’s today’s reality:
❌ They are no longer accepting returns. You better make sure the item you purchase at their store will be a good fit for your home or as a gift for someone else. You’re not going to get money back or store credit.
❌ They are no longer accepting merchandise credits. Yup, no more returning items for a merchandise credit.
❌ They are no longer accepting store coupons. Throw them out if you have any.
❌ They are no longer accepting Bed Bath & Beyond gift cards. A big YIKES if you still have any gift cards.
As of June 2023, lots of the Bed Bath & Beyond items I saw in one of their stores are being discounted at around the 30% level. It’s not a huge difference maker but that can change. 👀
🧐 SOUTH FLORIDA SAVINGS GUY RECOMMENDATION: I recommend for you to keep an eye out for their items when they start discounting their items at 50% off. It has to be the right price for you to want to buy an item. Make sure the size & color will be a good fit for your home. Measure an area at home if that is something of a concern for you before buying an item. Make sure of the material is what you prefer. Even the scent with candles I wasn’t impressed with some of their candles I recently saw and got a whiff from. Make sure the candles have a strong potency for your liking.
➡️ Keep an eye on their discounts. It would probably be wise for you to shop on Amazon or other retailers until they start discounting their items for at least 50% or more.
